8 months

Here we are again...another month behind us.  Not too much has changed from month 7 to 8, so I'll keep the writing to a minimum.

Our little buddy boy:
  • weighs 21.2# on our home scale
  • now has his front two bottom and front two top teeth...for a total of 4
  • finally on regular formula without problems; taking 26 ounces every day
  • solids continue to go well; I introduced meats this month and they both liked it
  • is not interested in holding his own bottle yet, but will reach and try to hold the sippy cup
  • taking 2-3 naps a day, each is usually 1-1.5 hours
  • wakes between 5 & 6 am, goes to bed between 6 & 7 pm
  • still rolling/pivoting/sort of army crawling all over the place

he has NEVER done this...he must have been really tired

Our baby girl:
  • also weighs 21.2# on our scale, although she feels a lot heavier than Rowan
  • now has her two front bottom teeth (she became a much happier little girl when this happened)
  • also finally on regular formula; we make her 26 ounces every day, but she hasn't been finishing her bottles lately
  • is consistently holding her own bottle now
  • still our restless sleeper and the queen of cat naps
  • takes at least three sometimes four naps a day; each is usually about 30 minutes...unfortunately a good nap is 45 minutes
  • also wakes between 5 & 6 am, and goes to bed between 6 & 7
  • continues to have no interest in moving/rolling/crawling; lately she has been refusing to bend to sit and is happiest just standing on my lap
  • loves to eat her "puffs" and has finally figured out how to get them into her mouth
