Iowa

We spent nearly a week in Iowa at Doug's parents over Memorial Day weekend.  We had a wonderful time!  The kids did great and loved all the attention from Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Lynn.  We were spoiled with tons of good food, free babysitting, and beautiful weather.

 Hunting for snapping turtles

Got one!

At the park

It took a lot of convincing to get Rowan to come down the slide...

There were at least 3 or 4 families of geese living on the pond at Mom and Dad's house.  SO sweet to watch the babies :)

We love Grandma's big tub...two can share the faucet :)

May!

Doug and I went on a date to Trinity's spring play

We brought Doug an afternoon snack and explored the chapel.  SO many chairs to try out!

Trinity had a petting zoo on campus.  Rowan was not interested after a goat jumped on me while I was holding him...the goat really wanted my coffee :)

And we must always get in a little piano practice when we visit Trinity

We had colds, 5th disease, ear infections...and then Norah decided she was allergic to her antibiotic.  She was pretty miserable with this rash all over her body for a few days.  No more Omnicef for her :(

This little boy found a new love for peanut butter

And this is how Norah eats cucumbers these days

It was Mother's Day!  We spent some time with Grandma.  I was showered with homemade gifts from the kids they made at preschool.

And we also sent a Mother's Day video message to Grandma in Iowa

And then we celebrated Doug's birthday with another date day downtown.  We took an architectural walking tour, ate lunch, explored the library, and finally walked around Millennium for a bit.  We had fun, but I clearly need to work on my selfie-taking skills :)

Stay tuned for a separate post on our trip to Iowa
