odds and ends

We purchased a new camera a little while back...you've gotta love a husband who loves to find a good deal!   Most of these pictures are me figuring out how to use it.  Enjoy!

This girl loves her brother's crib more than her own!

Silly boy fell back asleep on the couch after he got up from his nap!

This girl can't get enough of my purses and hats...and wearing the least amount of clothes as possible :)

I checked on him during his nap and this is what I found...I love that he was sleeping with Norah's pink silky bear  :)

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving day we went up to my sister's house in Michigan.  Dinner was delicious, despite the fact that our two kids were too excited to sit or eat.  It was a fun time. Thanks for having us, Nat!

I'm not sure what these girls were up to, but they were pretty focused on whatever it was :)

Sisters!

We had planned to spend the rest of the weekend at a hotel with some of Doug's family, but after we both only managed a few hours of sleep due to a sick Norah and a scared Rowan, we decided to go home the next day after lunch.  We did have a fun morning hanging out with his family, but unfortunately I didn't get the opportunity to take any pictures.

Wisconsin visit

Early in November we had a chance to visit our good friends Sam and Katie, and their kiddos Grant and Nolan, for the weekend.  Katie and I have been friends since the 7th grade, and Sam and Doug were roommates at Trinity. They now live in Wisconsin and we don't get to see them as often as we used to, so we thought we'd invade their space for a few days.

On Saturday we spent the morning at Monkey Joes, an indoor inflatable jumping-ground.

Norah had a blast and couldn't understand why Doug wouldn't let her climb all the way up by herself...

Rowan was tired and done with the crowds and noise...

Our attempt at getting all 4 kids to take a picture...and a little football rivalry too

Norah was done with sitting still

And on Sunday we took a walk around the neighborhood

Despite the fact that all 4 kids involved were battling some sort of cold or cough, we managed to have a wonderful time.  Thanks again for having us!

pumpkins - part 2

We spent a second afternoon at a different pumpkin patch.  This place was a lot bigger, and because we went on a weekday, much less busy.  Unfortunately, the weather wasn't as nice.  It was cloudy, cold, and windy but the kids certainly didn't seem to notice.  Once they were out of the stroller...they couldn't be stopped or bothered for a picture :)
